EDITION 37 / 2024
Well hey there Reader. ππ½
I can't believe we are in the last couple of weeks of 2024. I know we say it every year, but WHERE DID THIS YEAR GO?? Now I know that this time of year can get kinda crazy - so I'm keeping it short this week - but I did want to encourage you to just take a little time (maybe over a little mulled wine?π·) to reflect not just on everything that has happened this past year (cos lets be honest, some of it was kinda crap!) but on what you learned this past year.
I have realised that while it's not been the easiest of years I have learned SO much, and that's what I need to focus on. How I have grown, and learned, and improved my knowledge and skills. Cos those are the things that are gonna make next year fabulous.
Don't 'grinch' me, ok? π
Holiday cards and decorations are often just....well....tacky. There, I said it. <hides behind the cats>π³. Don't get me wrong - I actually love the festive lights, and the colored decorations and the holiday spirit...and some people make it work SO well - but I'm a 'neutrals' kinda guy, and when I DO want to find a stylish, minimalist card to send - it's not easy!
So this week I created a collection of holiday cards that reflect a more minimalist & stylish approach. π And I am walking you through 3 ways to create these animated e-cards (in Canva of course) over on YouTube for this week's tutorial. And of COURSE you can use your own colors and go crazy if you like a more colorful approach. π€£ PLUS at the end I show you a bonus card idea that not only takes minimal design work, but also looks custom and EXPENSIVE! π
Meaningful Creations
For this week's Meaningful Creations, I'm making it all about me. π Well, kinda...
I just wanted to use this chance to give you a heads-up that in January 2025 I am opening enrollment for myCanva course called CanvaOS! The program was updated a few months ago to reflect Canva's 'glow-up', and the feedback I have got has been just so inspiring.
I've had a lot of emails asking when I was next opening enrollment and I have decided that the new year is the perfect time. After the madness of the holiday period we can all knuckle down, get to work, and make some magic happen. And I want to help you do that by giving you a system and a WAY of working in Canva that allows you to consistently create beautiful, on-brand materials in Canva...with CONFIDENCE.
The feedback I get from people who are part of the CanvaOS Crew is genuinely so amazing, and I'm excited to support even more people in January. I mean...this comment got me in the feels:
PLUS, I am adding a new Bonus for this enrollment that you will NOT wanna miss out on. π€«
SO...if you know anyone that would benefit from joining the only CanvaOS course that teaches you a simple system to master Canva, then I would really appreciate it if you would let them know, and ask them to join the waiting list at: www.createdbywayne.com/canvaos.π
Thatβs it for today folks. Hope this last stretch before the holidays is not TOO stressful. Take care of yourselves. π€
