Hello Reader, I hope you're having a fabulous week.

Whenever we get towards the end of the year I am always torn between wanting to just take time off to chill, and a real energy about planning and excitement for the year ahead.🤣

This year, I am working on finding a balance between the two. I am putting time into my calendar for planning my content for next year; reviewing my business finances and projections; and (SQUEE!) getting everything in place for a launch of CanvaOS in January!! (But that's still a secret, so don't tell anyone. 🤐🤣)

I am also booking days out to INTENTIONALLY relax. Time to play video games, go for country walks, or just read and nap. I have decided to treat rest and recovery as something that is AS important to do as my taxes. And infinitely more enjoyable 🤣. Because lets be honest, without giving yourself time to breathe, everything becomes a little suffocating.

So if you haven't been prioritizing rest - this is your gentle reminder that you cannot pour from an empty cup. 🖤

Next-level video 🎥

As we start to become more comfortable with using video for our courses, social media or other content, we get to a point where we want to not just create video, but refine how we present ideas and communicate through video.

One of the simple (although not always necessarily EASY 😜) ways to really enhance the impact & engagement of videos, is by using on-screen graphics. These can be used to enforce key information; drive people to take action and even make your brand (and name) more memorable.

These kinds of motion graphics have traditionally been created in animation & video editing software - which usually comes with a hefty price tag and a scary learning curve!

But this week over on the 'Tube I am walking step-by-step through the process of creating a few on-screen graphics know as "lower-thirds" which can be used to add some branding, some impact and some more credibility to your videos - just using Canva.
